Atlantic Anniversary Race Crew Update #17

Tag 12 & 13 auf See

Ulf

// English:

Grey in grey, no sun since 6 days ago, rainy showers and difficult wind conditions with the direction shifting up to 40° within minutes. To be honest the past few days have been a bit frustrating at times. Where is the summer 200nm before entering the English Channel? But we’re sure it’ll pass.

The joy of really taking off with the freshly repaired spinnaker didn’t last very long and Jam is back at it to get it back into shape. The fight goes on with Code Zero and hopefully we will be able to keep up with the rest of the field. The mood on board is a bit shaken but good nonetheless.

For the English Channel we seem well prepared as Jam has done a splendid job repairing our light-wind spinnaker with a custom, almost artistic looking, 20m hand sewn leek and a little patch at the top (see picture).

All the best,

Ulf and the Crew
